Brief
Attric had an in-house developed Electronic Document Management System that used a number of different software components to make up the overall system. A particular client had a need for an easy to use web based EDMS system. Attric contacted Intradev with a view to initially writing a new ‘front-end’ to the system to be used by this client. A second project was then instigated to write a browser based administration application to be used by Attric’s administrators.
Approach
Intradev reviewed the requirements and in conjunction with Attric staff designed a new front-end utilising an intuitive, easy to use interface.
Solution
Intradev developed the system using ASP.Net in conjunction with ‘AJAX’ technology to improve and speed up the user experience. The system has an easy to use interface, incorporating straightforward search features and a document tree hierarchy. Document lists can be further filtered and documents viewed using either a new ‘pop-up’ window or within the original window.
Benefit
Clients of Attric now have a new web front-end available to their document management systems. It is easy to use, up to date and robust and is helping speed up document location and retrieval.
